BASIC SOCKS – english pattern


Basic Socks is the perfect recipe for knitting your first pair of socks. It is a simple yet effective pattern that will guide you through all construction stages of a sock. You can easily adapt their length and circumference measurements so they comfortably fit your feet. They are knitted cuff down from leg to toe. The pattern includes a stylish and easy to knit folded hem, as an alternative to the classic ribbing cuff.

one size (length: adapted to your foot, circumference: 18 cm + instructions to adapt to it).


Yarn: 2 skeins Rauma Finull, (50gr – 175m/191 yds)
Shown in 4078 natural color and 4125 dark mustard color.


23 sts in stockinette st = 10 cm / 4’’.

Please note that when modifying gauge you may also alter size or run short on yarn.

Recommended needle

3 mm / 2,5 US double point needles or circular needles with magic loop. Adjust needle size if needed to obtain gauge.


1 stitch marker, tapestry needle, blocking tools
