scrunchies – english pattern

These hair scrunchies are the perfect project for learning to knit from scratch. They are worked in the round on circular needles, in one piece. An elastic hair band is placed inside, and the fabric is folded inward and sewn closed with an invisible seam. With them you’ll learn how to cast on, knit in the round, bind off, and finish with mattress stitch.

Measurements:
Outer diameter approx 12 cm
Gauge:
14 sts x 20 rounds in stockinette stitch, knitted in the round = 10 x 10 cm
Recommended needle size:
5 mm circular needles with a 40 cm cable
Yarn:
1 ball of Nepal by Drops (50 gr – 75 m)
Notions:
stitch marker, scissors, tapestry needle, elastic band 1 – 1.5 cm wide and 25 cm long
