FELTED BASKET – english pattern

Gauge: 

14 sts x 22 rounds in stockinette st, blocked = 10 x 10 cm

Recommended needle size: 

Bottom:

3.5 mm circular needles with 80 cm cable for magic loop knitting 

or 3.5 mm dpns

Main fabric:

3,5 mm circular needles with 50 cm cable

+ 4 mm needle for the folded hem

Yarn:

Plötulopi 2 plates knitted double (100 gr, 300 m)

 + Au ver a soie’s  Laine d’ Aubusson embroidery threads

Sample no. 1 mimosa embroidery: Plötulopi color 0001 white + 2533 yellow and 2952 green embroidery threads

Sample no. 2 tulips embroidery: Plötulopi color 1030 beige + 1544 green and 4623 pink embroidery threads

Sample no. 3 daisies embroidery : Plötulopi color 2025 turquoise + 3020 ecru y 1740 yellow embroidery threads

Measurements:

Before felting: 25 cm bottom’s diameter, 30 cm total high

After felting: 20 cm bottom’s diameter, 27 cm total high, 14 cm when folding the hem

If you wish a different size, just knit the bottom smaller or bigger by adding more or less rounds, always following the sequence for the increases.
