MATILDA SWEATER – english pattern

Matilda Sweater is a pattern for an easy knitted sweater with an embellished yoke. It is worked in one piece,  top-down. It starts by casting on stitches for the neck and knitting flat, then join the stitches for the button band and continue knitting in the round with increases until you reach the length and width to separate body and sleeves. Then, just knit body and sleeves separately. The pattern includes 2 videos and a mini tutorial for the embroidered flowers so you can make them even if you have not embroidered a single stitch before.

Descripción

Level: beginner.

You need to know how to: cast on and cast off, knit in the round, knit and purl, simple increases and decreases. This pattern includes links to videos for the knitted hem and the embroidered flowers.

Sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4, 5)

size 1 (0-3 months) / size 2 (3-6 months) / size 3 (6-12 months) / size 4 (12-18 months) /size 5 (18-24 months)

Finished bust measurements: 45 (49, 52, 54, 62) cm 

Materials:

Ulysse by De Rerum Natura  (50 gr / 185 m), Eucalyptus color.

or 

Candide by De Rerum Natura (50 gr / 185 m), Nougat color.

2 (2, 2, 2, 3) balls

Recommended needle:

4 mm for main fabric + 3, 5 mm for ribbing with 40 cm cable.

4 mm dpns for the sleeves (or 23 cm needles)

Notions: scissors, stitch markers, tapestry needle, 3 buttons and 3 snaps
