You need to know how to: cast on and cast off, knit in the round, knit and purl.<\/p>\n

Measurement<\/b>:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

25 cm high x 26 cm width<\/span><\/p>\n

Gauge<\/b>:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

16 sts x 18 rows stockinette s in the round = 10 x 10 cm<\/span><\/p>\n

Recommended needle size<\/b>:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

5 mm circular needles (adjust needle if needed to obtain gauge) with 50 cm cable\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

+ 4,5 mm circular needles for ribbing<\/span><\/p>\n

Yarn:<\/b><\/p>\n

Bitches et Buches <\/span>Le Coton & Alpaca<\/span><\/i><\/a> (50 gr, 90m), 3 balls 1 per color.<\/span><\/p>\n

IMPORTANT: yardage is very much adjusted so if you work loosely or don\u2019t knit gauge, please add 1 ball of the MC (main color).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Please note this pattern requires 3 balls so with 3 different colors you can make your very own combination. These are just some examples:<\/span><\/p>\n

Main Color (MC): off white for the background<\/span><\/p>\n

Contrast Color 1 (C1): dark green grey for the stem and leaves<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018Winter bulbs cowl\u2019 <\/span><\/i>is an easy pattern for practicing colorwork. It is inspired by my beautiful tulip garden that I plant and cherish every winter. It is knitted in the round with circular needles. You\u2019ll never work with more than 2 colors at the same time, so the chart is very easy to follow. Start by knitting a 2×2 ribbing, then work the chart, and finish with a 2×2 ribbing one more time. Yardage is very much adjusted to 1 ball for the Main Color, so please knit your gauge to make sure you\u2019ll have enough yarn.<\/span><\/p>\n
